Right, just to clear some misconceptions, and to put the mind to those who are screaming "fake".

This is, or rather, was in Ch√Ętillon, Belgium. Most of those cars were abandoned by service men. Not only from during the war, but also after the war. The costs to ship them back were to great, and seeing this was a post-war Europe, money wasn't that abundant.

The graveyard has since been cleaned for at least two to three years.

Pretty sure a lot of these cars are more recent than 1945. Anyone have a source for this image?

In this link it states that Chatillon was also used as a post-war base and some cars were left by soldiers on tours at later dates, which would explain some of the later model cars.

No one here is questioning that some of those cars are definitely not 1940's? I'm not an expert on cars, and I'm 18 years old. But those cars look like they are from the 50's to me.

Another gallery of the Chatillon, Belgium "car graveyard", though many of these cars are indeed mid-to-late 1950's vintage...

Nope. Those cars are from the 50's at least.

Wouldn't it be cool if they restored all of these on a car restoration show with profits to veterans charities?

So, does anyone know what this would do to the local ecosystem? Assuming the vehicles fuel evaporated (is that what would happen?) and only metal parts were left... What happens to the soil?

U.S. servicemen should really consider leaving the keys in their abandoned cars. What a waste.

America, shows up to WWII late, commits some genocide and the biggest acts of terrorism in the history of humanity, call themselves the winner when all that were was a bit player and leaves behind garbage and waste.

Americans, do you know why the world hates you?
